First weigh-in and measurements coming in today!
When I woke I up, I immediately hit the scale, took progress photos, and new measurements. Starting with the scale first, my personal bioimpedance scale came in at 170.4 lbs, 11.4% body fat, and 47.6% muscle, which equates to 6.6 lbs gained with an estimated 2 lbs of muscle gained. I’m assuming the majority of the weight gain coming from fat is normal early on as muscle takes a long time to recover and grow, so I’ll accept the larger difference for now and keep an eye on fat gain in week 2.
Onto measurements next, my total body inches went up 3.5 inches to 142.25 inches, with mainly a half inch increase across the board except for my right thigh going up a full inch.

As for photos, there isn’t a large noticeable difference right now which is also to be expected I think. You can kind of tell that i’m starting to fill out a bit but nothing crazy. See photos below.
In terms of the rest of the day, the diet continues to be a slog. I think I need to switch things up a little bit and make it a bit more enjoyable. Thinking of reducing the whole food meals so that I can put them down more easily/enjoyably and then have shakes throughout the day. My body just doesn’t like scarfing big amounts of food down. I’m also starting to get a little backed up again which again could be due to lack fo water, but I think it’s also in part because of how protein forward my diet is. Might be time to reduce the protein a bit in favor of carbs and to focus on water intake.
